WHAT IS PALLIATIVE CARE?

Our supportive care services aim to alleviate symptoms of our patients’ diseases and/or disorders to maintain the greatest quality of life for our patients.

There is a common misconception that palliative care is only available to those who have given up on curative treatments. Palliative care can actually be designed to alleviate symptoms alongside curative efforts.

AM I ELIGIBLE FOR PALLIATIVE CARE?

Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance generally offer coverage for palliative care if you are currently being treated for an illness. Make sure to ask your doctor or the Sonder Health team about your options.

HOSPICE & PALLIATIVE CARE?

Palliative care includes all options to alleviate symptoms of illnesses. Hospice care is a specific type of palliative care that one may elect for if they are ready to forego all curative treatments and embrace the final months of their lives.

HOW DOES SONDER APPROACH PALLIATIVE CARE?

The Sonder team approaches palliative care in a collaborative manner. We believe palliative care should be a team effort with maximum communication amongst the healthcare professionals heading your treatment options and our palliative team. Our palliative team consists of a variety of professionals including experienced doctors, nurses, and staff. The common goal for our entire team is to provide you and your loved ones peace and comfort through your illness.
